Printed text on reverse reads:
Amy Robsart married, in 1550, Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester. On the 8th September, 1560, she was found dead at the foot of a staircase at Cumnor Place, Berkshire. At the time it was generally believed that she had been murdered, and that Dudley was an accessory to the crime. She was buried with the most elaborate pomp and solemnity in St. Mary's Church, Oxford, where her grave can still be seen.
