THE BRITISH ARMY FROM OLD
PHOTOGRAPHS The British Military have always been popularised, especially in Queen Victoria's reign, by which time photography was becoming well advanced. At the the time of the Boer War, a newspaper article on the state of the war was not enough and photography came into its own, along with propaganda on a mass scale. A selection of old Photographs, mainly by Hudson & Kearnes of South East London, have been reproduced as black and white postcards and give us an insight on the strength of the British Empire in its heyday.
